U-verse Voice is a voice over IP, or VoIP, which requires an Internet connection, rather than a telephone connection to place and receive phone calls. The U-verse Voice telephone system works with your existing telephones, and the user experience is the same as a traditional telephone service. U-verse Voice includes features that are commonly offered with traditional telephone services, including caller-ID, three-way calling and the ability to block numbers from placing calls to your number.
