Mag Instruments, Inc. produces the Maglite Solitaire, a flashflight powered by a single AAA battery. The Solitaire, the smallest in the Maglite line, uses a single high-intensity incandescent bulb encased in an anodised aluminium body. But you can convert your Maglite Solitaire from an incandescent bulb to a light-emitting diode (LED), even if you're not a particularly gifted DIYer.

- Replacement LED bulb
Unscrew the lamp head of your Maglite, and remove it from the flashlight body.
Remove the incandescent light bulb by gently pulling it from its socket.
Insert the LED light bulb by gently pushing the bulb into the socket. Note: There are LEDs available for sale that are specifically for the Maglite Solitaire. Make sure your replacement LED is the correct size and equipped to fit the Solitaire.
Re-install the lamp head. Screw the lamp head back onto the body of the flashlight.
