An HP All-in-One printer often adds a VFS image file to an inserted memory card. This VFS file is full of directories used to create VFS images, which help speed up the browsing and searching of files on the card. However, the All-in-One automatically turns on the faster browsing option. This creates a problem with the access and opening of files stored on your memory card. Turn this feature off to view your files on the All-in-One.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Press the "Setup" button on your HP All-in-One.

  2. 2

Press the "Down" arrow button, and select the "Preferences" option. Press the "OK" button.

  3. 3

Press the "Down" arrow button, and select the "Enable Faster Browsing" option.

  4. 4

Press the "OK" button. Select the "Off" option, and press the "OK" button to apply the changes.

Tips and warnings

  • The faster browsing option is turned on by default when you first install the All-in-One
