How to Reset & Add Ink to a Ricoh Aficio GX3050N

Updated April 17, 2017

The Ricoh GX3050 uses four ink cartridges to produce both black-and-white and full-colour prints. The ink colours used are black, cyan, magenta and yellow. The GX3050 prints at a speed of up to 29 pages per minute and can be used as a printer for both PC and Mac computers. When the ink levels are low or empty, the ink cartridges must be replaced and the system reset in order to continue printing documents.

Remove the packaging from the new cartridges. Each cartridge will be individually wrapped.

Open the front panel of the printer by gently pulling the cover toward you.

Slide the old ink cartridges out toward you to remove them. Discard or recycle the empty cartridges.

Slide the new ink cartridges into place. They will click when secured. From left to right, the cartridge colours should be black, cyan, magenta and yellow.

Close the front panel of the printer.

Press the "System Menu" button on the top front of the printer.

Scroll through the menu options until the display reads "Ink CPU Replace."

Press "Enter." This will reset the CPU that controls the ink levels.

Exit the systems settings. Once you press "Exit," you will return to the normal operating mode of the printer.
