The Sea Pathfinder Fishermen (SPF-10) is everything a fisherman could want in a watch. In addition to the time, it will let him know tide conditions, water temperature, and other helpful data. He may enjoy using the watch so much that he will drain the battery sooner than he expects. But though this high tech marvel has more advanced features than the average wristwatch, replacing the battery in it is just about as simple as replacing the battery in any other watch.

  1. 1

Place a cloth over your work surface and then lay your SPF-10 face down on the cloth to avoid scuffing the watch's face.

  2. 2

Use a jeweller Philips head screw driver to remove the four screws on the back of the watch. After removing the first screw, remove the one across from it, then remove the last two. Removing the screws in this manner relieves the tension on the individual screws.

  3. 3

Use a flat head jeweller screwdriver to gently pry the edges of the metal cover off of the watch. Use the flat head screwdriver to gently pry the lip of the white battery cover up, and then slide the battery out.

  4. 4

Slide the replacement battery into the battery holder with the positive side up and the negative side down -- the side with the "+" sign and the cod "CR2025" is the positive side while the blank side is negative.

  5. 5

Gently push the lip of the battery cover down over the battery to ensure that the battery is properly seated in the watch.

  6. 6

Replace the metal back of the watch. Align the metal cover with the screw holes and then replace the first screw. Replace the second screw in the hole across from the first, and then replace the last to screws.
