Headlight wipers provide one more safety measure against weather. (Rain image by RandomShots from

Volvos, like a number of other upmarket European cars, feature a wiper blade on the headlight. This keeps the headlight's light quality high at night while it is raining or snowing. 1. 1

Lift the wiper blade off the headlight and remove the blade from the arm. The blade snaps on and off.

  2. 2

Lift the cover at the base of the arm and expose the nut. Remove the nut with a socket wrench.

  3. 3

Separate the washing fluid tube from the arm. You can do this by gently tugging on the tube until a joint appears.

  4. 4

Pull the arm off the headlight assembly.
