All laptop computers from HP Compaq have two internal speakers built into their case. These speakers are typically located directly above the keyboard on the bottom portion of the device. If you hook up a set of external speakers to your computer you will have to disable the internal speakers, especially if the external units are of a higher quality. Failure to disable the internal speakers will result in varying sound quality when you try to watch videos or listen to audio on your HP Compaq laptop computer.
