How to email a high resolution photograph

Updated April 17, 2017

High resolution photographs are large in size and thus take up more space when sending them over the Internet. Many e-mail clients limit the attachment size you can send, thus making it hard to send your high resolution images over e-mail. With Windows Live Mail, you can send small thumbnails of your high resolution photographs, and when the recipient clicks on them, they get the big picture. This not only saves space, but allows you to send multiple images at a time.

Download and install Windows Live Mail to your computer from the Windows Live Mail website.

Open the "New Message" window by clicking on "New" or "File" and then click on "Mail Message." Type in the recipients e-mail address in the "To:" section of the email.

Click the "Add Photos" button and select the photos you want to add to your e-mail from the computers hard drive.

Click the "Send" button to send your photos via e-mail.

You can send multiple photos in one e-mail by double-clicking on the images to select them. When finished close the "Add Photos" window.
