How to Print Multiple Pictures in Photoshop CS4

Adobe Photoshop allows users to download plug-ins that include extra tools to use in the program. In Photoshop CS4, downloading the Picture Package plug-in allows you to print multiple pictures on a single sheet. Create professional looking portrait packages by printing the same image in different sizes, or mix and match various photos on one page to print quickly and save paper.

    Download the free Picture Package Plug-In for Adobe Photoshop CS4. Go to the Adobe website for the free the download, and follow the instructions onscreen to set it up after installation (see Resource).

    Open Adobe Photoshop CS4, and open the picture you want to print multiple copies of.

    Click the "File" menu at the top of the screen, and choose "Automate" from the list that appears. Choose "Picture Package" after selecting "Automate."

    Locate the layout section of the Picture Package window. which should open on your screen. The layout section is on the right under the word "Layout" and is divided into boxes. Each box represents an individual picture. If you want to make multiple prints of only the picture you selected, skip to Step 5.

    Click one of the boxes under "Layout." Click "Browse" and find the pictures you want from your computer. Drag the images into separate boxes under "Layout." Arrange them in the order and location you want them. Certain boxes print larger than others. Drag multiple copies of one picture to different boxes to copy an image more than once.

    Change the settings under "Document" to your preferences. These control how the page is laid out, the size of the page and the resolution, along with other options. If you're happy with the page the way it is, leave the settings untouched.

    Click "OK." Click the "File" menu from the top of the screen again, and choose "Print." Select your printer, and click "OK."

Tips and warnings

  • For best results, choose a high-resolution setting for your pictures and print with a photo printer.
