How to Reset ASUS Notebook BIOS

If you've made changes to your Asus notebook BIOS and are unhappy with them, don't worry. The original configuration changes are stored in the permanent memory of the BIOS as the "factory" default settings. You don't even have to manually switch all of your BIOS settings back to these factory defaults. You can do it automatically by selecting one specific option from your Asus notebook BIOS main menu.

    Turn on your Asus notebook computer.

    Hit "F2" on your Asus notebook's keyboard to access the BIOS.

    Highlight the "Restore Defaults" menu option using your Asus notebook keyboard's arrow keys.

    Hit "Enter." You will be asked to confirm that you want to revert your Asus BIOS settings to the factory defaults. Select "Yes."

    Highlight "Save Changes and Exit" and hit "Enter." Your Asus BIOS settings will revert to their factory defaults, and these changes will be saved.
