The screen on your Acer laptop is powered by a backlight and an inverter board. If there is a problem with your screen chances are it is with the backlight connection. You can pay a technician to fix your backlight, but if you're willing to open your laptop screen you can do it yourself and save money. You can complete the process in a matter of minutes.
Turn off your Acer laptop and remove the power cable.
Unplug the battery from its port on the bottom of the computer.
Remove the rubber screw covers from each of the four screws located on each corner of the plastic frame around the screen. This can be done by using the tip of the screwdriver.
Remove the screws and set them aside.
Pull the frame from the screen by the corners to remove it. The green inverter board will now be visible just below the screen.
Secure the cable at the right side of the board with your fingers. This is the backlight cable. Make sure it is plugged securely into its port in the inverter; this would fix any connection issues. When finished reassemble your screen in the reverse order you took it apart.
