I Can't Get My Acer Laptop Out of Standby

Standby mode is a function of the Windows operating system that comes installed on your Acer laptop. It allows your computer to shut down many of its processes to save on energy while you are away from it. Standby mode also lets you return and quickly boot your system back up with the documents that you were creating and editing.

    Flip up the lid on you laptop so the monitor is facing you. If your laptop does not automatically turn on, press and hold down the power button for about two seconds.

    Listen for the system to boot. Before you flip up the monitor or you hit the power button, the laptop is silent. The laptop's fan may begin to operating and you will hear the computer making a buzzing sound.

    Type you username and password in on the login window as the laptop is now awake.
