Fleece blankets are useful during the cooler months of the year. They can be purchased plain from many stores, or you can personalise them with a beautiful photo of a favourite landscape or person. Imagine giving your parents a fleece throw with the entire family on it, or the grandparents throws featuring grandchildren's faces. It will be a gift they display all year and snuggle up with during the fall and winter.

Instructions

  1. 1

Find the website that fits your needs. There are many companies online that make the purchasing process easy and the pricing competitive.

  2. 2

Pick the product that you like. There are many different sizes of fleece throws to choose from small 30-by-40 inch sizes to large 80-by-60 inches. You can choose blankets that require only one large picture or collage blankets that you can incorporate four pictures onto. Some fleece throws will also include a pillow with the same picture on it, while others will put a few lines of text onto the throw.

  3. 3

Upload the photo or photos that you would like to put on the blanket. There will be a "Browse", "Select Image" or "Choose File" button on the website that allows you to look through all the pictures on your computer. Once you choose the one you like, click "Open" and the picture will be uploaded to the website.

  4. 4

Finish the purchasing process on the website using a credit card and giving your shipping information. If this is a gift, you can often have it gift wrapped and delivered directly to the recipient.

Tips and warnings

  • Use a high resolution photo. It should be crisp and sharp, at least 300 dots per inch, or dpi.
  • Wash in the washing machine on a cold gentle cycle. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals on the blanket.
