Sasuke is a ninja warrior from the Japanese anime series "Naruto." He is part of the Uchiha clan and is focused on exacting revenge on his brother who killed their father. He wears a simple costume of a top and shorts. The colour varies depending on the episode of the show. He also wears a headband. His costume is often found being worn by Cosplay attendants. You can find his costume for sale on the Internet but it can be expensive. If you prefer, you can make your own for a little bit of effort and save yourself some money.

Instructions

  1. 1

Measure your head where your headband will sit. It will cross over your forehead and around the back of your head. Add 4 inches to this length to give you room to tie the headband when it is complete. Cut a piece of white felt to match this length. The width should be 2 inches in width.

  2. 2

Draw the symbol on the front centre of the felt headband using a black permanent marker. The shape of the symbol is a spiral. The spiral has a small tail at the top and a small triangle attached to the side. Use an image of Sasuke for the exact shape. The size of the symbol should be just short of the width and about 2 inches wide.

  3. 3

Make the patch for the back of the shirt. Use red and white felt. The symbol for the shirt looks like a red capped mushroom with a white stem. Use an image of Sasuke to determine the exact shape. Once you have cut your red and white felt pieces, set them aside.

  4. 4

Purchase a short sleeved turtleneck or mock turtleneck shirt. These can often be found at thrift stores. If you cannot find one with short sleeves, you can cut the sleeves off to make short sleeves. For the colour you can choose white, black or navy blue.

  5. 5

Attach your patch from Step 3 to the back of the shirt using fabric glue. The mushroom shape should be attached in the centre of the shirt between the shoulder blades.

  6. 6

Purchase a pair of black or white shorts. The shorts should be slightly baggy and knee length.

  7. 7

Cut three pieces of black felt. Each piece should be 18 inches long and 1 inch wide. These will be used to make the straps on your socks and glove.

  8. 8

Put on a pair of white knee socks. Pull the socks up as high as they go. Apply fabric glue to one of the strips of black felt. Press one end of the felt strip to the top edge of one of your knee socks. Wrap the strip around the sock moving down towards the heel, spiralling as you go. Smooth the felt down so that it will stick as the glue dries. Repeat this with another strip of felt on the second sock.

  9. 9

Cut a second pair of white knee socks off just below the ankle of the sock. Discard the lower part of the sock and keep the tube section. Put the tube sections on your arms. Pull the tube section up so that you have a glove or armband running from your wrist to your upper arm. Apply fabric glue to the third black felt strip from Step 7. Apply one edge of the black felt to the top edge of the sock. Wrap the strip around as you did for the legs, bring the strip down to your wrist. Press the felt down to help it stay in place once the glue dries.

  10. 10

Put on the rest of the costume to complete your Cosplay look. You can add daggers known as kunai or other weapons as desired.
