As the price of fuel increases and concerns of global warming abound, people are turning to alternate forms of transportation. Biking is becoming more popular, both as a mode of transportation and as a recreational fitness activity. Whether you choose to have your small dog along or need to haul groceries, having a basket comes in handy. Bike baskets are simple to install and fit most bicycles.

  • Bolts
  • Screws
  • Socket wrench
  • Screwdriver

Instructions

  1. 1

    Remove the basket from the box and sort out all the components. Set your bike in an upright position, supported by the kickstand or bike rack.

    Position the basket in front of your handlebars.

  3. 3

    Attach the basket to your handlebars using the clamps or straps connected to the back of your basket.

    Attach the mounting bracket to your handlebars with the nuts and bolts included in your basket package. Use your socket wrench and screwdriver.

    Position your basket in front of your handlebars.

    Attach the basket to the mounting bracket with the quick-release clamp or bolted clamp.

    Attach the stabiliser bars or legs to your bike's front axle. Loosen the nuts on the tire, remove them, and slip the stabiliser legs on next to your axle components. Put the nuts back on and tighten.

    Attach the mounting bracket to your handlebars with the nuts and bolts included in your basket package. Use your socket wrench and screwdriver.

    Position your basket in front of your handlebars.

    Attach the basket to the mounting bracket with the quick-release clamp or bolted clamp.

Tips and warnings

  • Follow the manufacturers instructions.
  • Use the mounts, nuts and bolts that come with the basket.
  • Do not put more than the recommended weight in the basket.
