Driving a Mercedes CLK can be a great experience. Your local dealership is able to take care of any problem that you may have with your CLK, but there are some simple projects you can do yourself. One of these maintenance projects that can be done simply at home is removing and replacing your head lamp. No tools are necessary; knowledge of where the lamp is located and how to remove it is all you need.

Look into the bonnet of your car and locate the top of the head lamp.
Remove the electrical connector that is located at the back of the head lamp. To do this, grab the back of the lamp and wiggle it until it pulls loose.
Locate and grab the bulb holder that is located at the back of the housing for the lamp. Turn it halfway in a counter clockwise direction until you feel that you can pull it out of the housing.
Turn the bulb counter clockwise approximately a quarter to a half turn and pull it from the holder.
Lever a screwdriver into the bottom of the two plastic clips that you will see are holding the lens in. Be very careful on this step. The headlight lens can crack very easily if you force it out of its clips. Once you have the screwdriver pushing the clips out, you can gently pull the lens up and out.
