Many women appreciate the control and support a girdle provides. Whether you seek minimal support or maximum help controlling extra bulges, a girdle make you feel more comfortable and secure when worn under your clothing. While you should not wear a girdle that is too tight because it will create unsightly bulges both above and below the girdle, you want a girdle that is tight enough to offer support. Squeeze into a tight girdle to help you feel sleek and more slender.

  1. 1

Lightly dust your lower torso with baby powder or scented powder to enable you to slide the girdle on more effectively.

  2. 2

Fold your girdle in half from top to bottom and hold it in this position.

  3. 3

Step into the girdle with both feet and pull it up as high as you can toward your hips.

  4. 4

Unfold the girdle and continue to pull it up over your hips. Manoeuvre your hips back and forth to get the girdle up over them, if necessary.

  5. 5

Roll the top edge of the girdle up over your waist once you have it over your hips and position the top edge of the girdle evenly around your midsection.

  6. 6

Grasp the top edge of the girdle and reposition it as necessary to make it even and smooth around your body.

  7. 7

Check to make sure you do not have unsightly bulges protruding out of the top or the bottom of the girdle. If you see these bulges, you may opt to wear a looser girdle that will not create these bulges.
