Your Internet Protocol (IP) address identifies your computer to web sites as you surf the Web. You may want your number, at times, hidden from those who monitor your computer network or administer the sites that you are visiting. To accomplish this, use a site that offers access to a proxy server, which acts as an intermediary between you and the rest of the Web. These proxy server sites, which hide your IP address, are extremely easy to use.
