An SD (Secure Digital) card is a small storage device not unlike a hard drive or USB flash drive in that it is used to store data from your computer externally. You can also use an SD card to install Windows XP on your Asus EEE PC. This will involve formatting your SD card as an external bootable disk. This will allow you to boot up your system directly from your SD card.
