The wipers on your 2007 Honda Civic clear the windshield in inclement weather. If a wiper arm is damaged or bent, it can scratch or damage the windshield glass in some cases. A bent wiper arm may prevent the wiper from meeting the glass properly. You can remove the wiper arms from your Civic at home in minutes, saving the cost of a service centre for the repair. Buy replacement wiper arms from a Honda dealer or auto parts store.

Run the wipers then shut them off to be sure they are in the "Park" position.

Raise the hood of your Civic to gain access to the base of the wiper arms. Remove the cap from the base of the wiper arm. Use a flat-bladed screwdriver if necessary to pry the cap loose. Set the cap aside.

  3. 3

Remove the mounting nut with a wrench and set the nut aside in a safe place. Pull the wiper arm straight up off the mounting post.
