BearShare used to be a popular peer-to-peer file sharing program that utilised the Gnutella network. The software has now evolved into an online music retailer. Users can purchase music tracks from BearShare, and then download those songs to their computer or even an MP3 player. The BearShare software can be configured with most MP3 players, and sync your purchased tracks to your player for you.

Open your BearShare software program.
Search tracks to download to your player by entering in the artist name and/or song title (e.g. "Michael Jackson - Thriller") in the field located at the top of the interface and then select the search icon.
Buy a track from the list of results by selecting the "Buy" button next to the intended track.
Type in your credit card details or PayPal account information when prompted to complete your purchase.
Select the "Downloads" option to track the progress of your music downloads. Once your music has completely downloaded, you will be ready to transfer your purchased songs to your MP3 player.
Plug your MP3 player into your computer using the USB cable that came with your device. BearShare will then detect your player and list the device in the left pane of the interface.
Select either sync option for downloading tracks to your MP3 player: "I Will Add or Remove Tracks Manually" or "Automatically Synchronize My Player With My BearShare Library."
Select the song you just purchased listed under "Library" and drag it to your MP3 player device or a playlist listed under your MP3 player device name. Your transfer is now complete.
