Virtual DJ is a software that allows you to play and mix audio files and music together live. Although you can connect your computer to a sound system, it is possible to listen to your music through the use of headphones. This gives you the ability to personally listen to your music without others hearing it. Using your headphones with Virtual DJ is essentially the same as using headphones with any other program on your computer.

Instructions

  1. 1

Launch Virtual DJ. You can obtain the program (if you currently do not have it) at VirtualJD.com. Once you install the software, it checks your computer for all the available tracks of music on the system.

  2. 2

Click the music files from the right of the program screen and drag them into the lower centre. This is your current mix playlist. Add all the music files you want to this list.

  3. 3

Plug your headphones into the "Line-Out" port on your computer.

  4. 4

Click "Play" on the Virtual DJ program and the audio plays through your headphones. While the music is playing in the headphones, you can double-click a different track to switch what is playing, or you can adjust the volume from the volume control in the middle of the screen.
