People use Samsung cell phones for more than just making a phone call these days. If yo're like most people, and you use yours to plan your day, take photographs and send e-mail and text messages, losing your phone could be problematic. Backing up that data on your Samsung using sync software is a smart thing to do and could save you a lot of headaches in the future.

- Cell phone data kit
Get a cell phone data kit. This will include syncing software along with a USB data cable that will allow you to back up all of the information from your phone to your computer.
Turn your computer on and put the CD-ROM from the kit into your computer's drive. You will be asked if you would like to install the application. Answer "Yes" and follow the instructions from the installation wizard. In addition to the software, it will also install the drivers for the hardware.
Plug the data cable into the bottom of your Samsung cell phone and the other end into your USB port on your computer.
Go to the "Start Menu" and open up the application that you installed earlier. Go to "File" and "Synchronize Data." This will transfer all of the data from your phone to your computer.
