Instructions

  1. 1

Check that the Zen Nano is powered on. Press its power button, located on its side panel.

  2. 2

Verify that the Zen Nano has a battery installed if it won't respond to you pushing its power button. Remove the battery cover on the back panel of the device. If no battery is installed, insert a new AAA-sized battery. Insert the battery according to the "+" and "-" symbols listed on the Nano's battery compartment.

  3. 3

Replace the battery if one is present and the Nano still won't turn on. The existing battery may be dead. A new battery will provide approximately 18 hours of continuous playback before it needs replacing, according to Creative.

  4. 4

Contact Creative's customer toll-free support line at 800-998-1000 if you still cannot get the device to work. Your Zen MP3 player's hardware may be broken and need servicing or replacement.

Tips and warnings

  • Never try to break open the Creative Zen Nano's hardware to look inside, as this voids your warranty. Only an authorised service centre can open and fix the device's internal components.
