In order to transfer photos from a computer to a digital photo frame, you must have a memory storage device such as an SD card or USB flash drive. Digital photo frames have the ability to send photos to a printer, display photos in a slideshow as well as play various audio and video formats. When using a digital photo frame, the computer must have an SD card slot or USB port for transferring and saving data.

    Insert the SD card or USB flash drive into the memory card slot on your computer. Open the folder or location where your pictures are located on the computer.

    Click the "My Computer" tab on your computer to locate the storage drive. Highlight and right-click the pictures of your choice, then select "Copy" and "Paste" them to the storage drive. Remove the storage drive from the SD slot or USB port on your computer.

    Power on the digital photo frame. Insert the SD card or USB flash drive into the digital picture frame memory slot, which is usually located on the side of the picture frame.
