Among the most important safety features on a 2007 Rav4 are its headlights and taillights. When a tail light burns out or becomes damaged, it's imperative that you replace the bulb immediately. Replacement tail light bulbs can be purchased at an auto parts store and installed in minutes. Burnt-out taillights can result in an accident or a traffic violation.

Instructions

  1. 1

Open the boot of the Rav4. Remove any items that may be in the way of the tail light.

  2. 2

Locate the tail light and remove the screws that secure the tail light's plastic case in place. Remove the casing to reveal the bulb.

  3. 3

Remove the tail light bulb by gently pressing down on the bulb and turning it counterclockwise. The bulb is held in with a spring mechanism, so as you turn the bulb, it will pop out of place.
