The SIM card is a subscriber identity module that goes into your mobile phone that links your phone to your mobile provider’s network system. When utilising your phone, information and contacts may be stored on your device or you may also store the information on your SIM card. When the information is stored on your SIM card, it enables you to easily transfer your information from one phone to another – whether you upgrade or change phones.

Determine if you would like to store your contacts on your SIM card or in your phone’s memory.
Each phone comes equipped with a small amount of internal memory that may be used to store your contact information. You may save such personal details as names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses to your phone. By default, your Sony Ericsson phone will save to your phone’s internal memory. If you would like to save it to your SIM card instead, you need to change the option to save to SIM by default.
To save your contacts to your SIM card automatically, you go to Menu, select Contacts, scroll down to New Contacts, select Options, go to Advanced and select Default contacts. From here, you will select save to SIM.
Transfer existing contacts onto SIM card if you want to delete all of your contact listings.
If you have contacts saved on your phone and also on your SIM card, you will need to transfer the contacts on your handset to your SIM card if you would like to delete them all. To do this, you will go to Menu, select Contacts, scroll to New contacts, go to Options, then Advanced and select auto save on SIM.
Delete all contacts from your SIM card.
You may delete contacts individually or all at once from your SIM card. To delete individually, you go to your Contacts list, select the one you wish to delete, and choose delete contact (or press the C key as referenced in the Sony Ericsson support handbook – see references below).
To delete all of your contacts at once, you will also go to your Contacts list, scroll down to New contact, select Options, go to Advanced, and then select Delete all contacts. This will erase all of the contact details from your phone.
