How to Make an XBox Controller Vibrate

Updated July 20, 2017

The Xbox 360 high definition gaming console has numerous features such as a removable hard drive and wireless controllers. One feature of those controllers is a "vibration' option. For instance, the controller will vibrate in reaction to an event on screen, such as shooting a gun or jumping. Turning on the vibration feature is a simple process and can be done at any time the game is on.

Log into your Xbox 360 gamertag.

Press the guide button again and scroll right to “Personal settings” using the left thumb stick.

Highlight “Preferences” and press the “A” button.

Select “Vibration” from the list.

Place a check next to “Enable Vibration” by pressing “A.” Vibration will be enabled on your account.

Press the guide button again to exit the menu.
