How to Draw Step-by-Step Cartoon Mini Schnauzers

Written by amy lukavics | 13/05/2017

Miniature schnauzers are small, sturdy, fun-loving dogs that make great pets and are about one foot tall. They are either black, white or both. Their coats are wiry and shiny. Drawing a cartoon miniature schnauzer is pretty easy if you get the signature qualities of the dog right and use soft edges and circular eyes to emphasise the cartoon aspect.

Draw the outline of the miniature schnauzer's body with a pencil, using a photograph of a miniature schnauzer for reference if necessary. The body is sturdy and generally square shaped. Add little wavy triangular wisps for the fur and make the legs short with slightly exaggerated paws for cartoon effect.

Add the miniature schnauzer's head to the body. The head should be slightly rectangular with small triangular ears that point upward. Make the fur on the miniature schnauzer's muzzle longer than the rest, like a short rounded beard.

Draw a small black nose on the miniature schnauzer's face, as well as two large, circular cartoon eyes. Use an eraser to get rid of any runaway or uneven lines.
