Connecting your portable karaoke machine to your laptop computer can enable you to enjoy karaoke entertainment on the go. While the process can vary depending on the model of karaoke machine you have and the specifications of your particular laptop, the essentials will be similar. All you will need to complete the connection is a laptop computer with an on-board audio card and USB connections.

  • USB cable
  • RCA stereo to minijack cable
  • Karaoke software (included with the machine)

    Attach one end of the USB cable to the USB port on the karaoke machine and the other to an available USB port on the side or rear of the laptop computer.

    Plug the dual-pronged end of the RCA-to-Minijack cable into the red and white "Line Out" ports located on the Karaoke machine.

    Plug the minijack end of the RCA cable into the line-in port on your laptop's sound card.

    Place the karaoke software into the computer's CD drive (if required by your particular model) and install it onto the machine. This will place both the interface software and the drivers (the files that tell the computer what the karaoke machine is and how to utilise it) on the laptop.
