How do I Connect an XBox 360 to a Samsung T200 TV?

Updated July 20, 2017

The Xbox 360 HD video game system is compatible with several different outputs, such as component or HDMI, making the connection process convenient. The audio/video hookup process with a Samsung T200HD LCD monitor can't get much easier because the TV is equipped with built-in speakers and an HDMI port. Even though the T200 HD LCD is actually a computer monitor, it will connect to the Xbox 360 without requiring the user to divert the sound to a receiver or other device.

Turn off the Xbox 360 and Samsung T200HD LCD monitor.

Connect the two devices using an HDMI cable. The HDMI port is labelled and located on the back of the Xbox 360. The HDMI port is also located to the rear of your monitor to the left of the component inputs.

Turn on the Xbox 360 and Samsung T200HD LCD.

Push the "Source" button on your remote or monitor until the input reads "HDMI1." This will allow you to view the video and hear the sound output from your Xbox 360.

Go to "My Xbox" from the console's dashboard, then press RB twice to highlight "System Settings." Press "A" to open "System Settings."

Press "A" three times to open "Console Settings," "Display" then "HDTV Settings."

Choose "1080p" from the list of resolution settings; 1080p is the highest possible resolution on the Xbox 360 and the Samsung T200HD LCD.
