Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a hand-held video game system that allows you to watch movies and TV shows and surf the Internet. Your PSP's battery pack needs to be charged regularly via an AC adaptor. If you've lost your AC adaptor, you can still charge your PSP by using a PSP USB cable and your computer.
Turn on your PSP and select the "Settings" option.
Choose "System Settings" from the sub-menu. Then, select "USB Charge" and press the "X" button.
Select "On" to enable USB charging and press "X" to save the change.
Insert the rectangular end of the USB cable into an open USB port on your computer. Connect the other end to the PSP.
Go to the "USB Connection" option in the "Settings" menu and press "X." The power indicator will turn orange and the PSP will begin charging.
As of October 2010, PSPgo, PSP-2001 and PSP-3001 series PSPs can be charged with a USB connection.
