  1. 1

Fill a blender with a shot of espresso and add half a cup of hot water or fill a blender with a cup of filter coffee. One other option is to fill a blender with a spoon on instant coffee and a cup of hot water.

  2. 2

Add as much sugar or sweetener that you would normally add to a cup of coffee. You may add flavoured syrup or chocolate syrup, to make a mocha ice blended drink, if you wish. To create a slightly thicker drink, add several tablespoons of milk or cream.

  3. 3

Fill the remaining space in the blender with ice cubes

  4. 4

Blend it all up. Make sure there are no ice chucks left. Add more ice if the end result is too watery. You may have to stop the machine and move the mixture around with a spoon, then resume blending.

  5. 5

Pour the thick mixture into a tall glass or cup. Squirt some whipped cream on top. You can add a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce too if you want to create the true Frappuccino effect. Stick a straw in and drink up.
