You got your nose pierced, but your job or your parents require you hide this. Luckily, there are many ways to hide a nose piercing so no one realizes you got your nose pierced.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Insert a plastic clear or skin-colored retainer. One of the problems of taking the piercing out is that you may not be able to get the jewelry back in place. However, a plastic retainer holds the hole open and is not as obvious as your jewelry.

  2. 2

Remove the jewelry and put it back in place when you can wear it again. However, be careful about this as constant removals and insertions of the jewelry can lead to infection and scarring. Unlike other piercings, a nose piercing takes about 8 to 10 weeks to fully heal and it shouldn't be taken out until the piercing is healed.

  3. 3

Put a bandage over the nose piercing. This works well if you want a cheap way to hide the piercing and don't want to mess around with taking the jewelry out all the time. Use a small Band-Aid or cut the Band-Aid to fit over the nose piercing so it's less obvious.

  4. 4

Cover the piercing with makeup. This is a desperate move as it won't cover the piercing well and can lead to infection if the piercing isn't completely healed, but in a pinch it'll hide the nose piercing.

Tips and warnings

  • Make sure you care for piercings as instructed to prevent infection.
