Bose Repair

Updated April 17, 2017

Bose is a stereo equipment company primarily known for its top-of-the-line stereo speakers and headphones, but it also makes stereo equipment and DVD players. Although Bose equipment is of high quality, it can still break or wear and require repair.

Bose Corporation was founded in 1964 by Dr. Amar G. Bose, who was a professor of electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a graduate student at MIT, Bose developed an interest in improving stereophonics and psychoacoustics, the human perception of sound.

Bose makes a number of electronic devices, including cube speakers, sound-cancelling headphones, the Wave radio, stereos, and home theatre systems. Because these systems are based on proprietary technology, repairing them may be different than other stereo equipment.

Repair Services

A number of repair services specialise in Bose stereo equipment. While these services may be able to help you fix your Bose system, the cost of repair may be considerable.

Manuals and other online support services are available to help you fix your Bose equipment, including online support by Bose. If it is possible to do it on your own, you can save a considerable amount of money.

It is important to be careful when fixing Bose equipment yourself. Further damaging the equipment may necessitate replacement of the system. You should also make sure that the equipment is not under warranty because attempting to repair it may negate the contract.
