A Brinks driver, referred to as an armoured car driver and guard, operates a Brinks security vehicle to deliver and receive valuables from customer locations.


Applicants must be at least 21 years old, and have an excellent driving history and the ability to receive a Class B commercial driver's license to operate the armoured vehicle. Other requirements include a good work history and credit record. Applicants also must pass a physical examination and drug test.


Candidates are required to qualify for a firearm permit.


Drivers deliver and receive valuables from customers. The work includes loading and unloading the vehicle, completing appropriate documentation, and maintaining communication with other drivers and dispatch staff.
