Electronic Arts and BlackBox released Skate 3, the third-generation skateboarding game for the Xbox 360 and PS3, in May of 2010. The game allows you to slowly build up your skateboarding brand to become a world force in the skateboarding scene. The game also features a dedicated website, where players can monitor their friends' activity, upload clips and create graphics. If you are logged into the website with your player tag, you can also choose to send your custom graphics to the game so you can wear them on your gear.
Direct your Internet browser to the EA Skate website. Log into your account, or register for a new account. You will be asked for your PS3 or Xbox 360 gamer tag to be able to send information, such as your new logo, from the website to the game.
Select "skate.Create" at the top of the page to visit the creation portal. Then select "Launch Graphics Creator" just above the video that starts playing. A new window will pop up and can take a few minutes to load, depending on your connection.
Click on one of the three available logo slots to start the process. You will see a screen with a small grid and several shape options appear.
Use the four tabs at the bottom of the creator to change among creating shapes, images, text and assets. Assets are saved graphics that either you or your friends have created and saved.
Select shapes, assets and images from the list on the left side of the screen and drag them into the main area. You can then move them around to your desired spot on the logo.
Type text into the box at the bottom of the screen. You can select a font from the drop-down menu to the right and the colour from the box to the right of the font. Select the "A+" box to have the text show up in the main area. Once there, you can move or manipulate it with the mouse.
Use the buttons on the bottom-right area of the screen to manipulate the selected graphic further. You can change the opacity, flip the graphic on an axis, zoom in or change the colour.
Click the "Preview" button to see how the logo will look on your gear. A new window will pop up and you can choose to see the logo on a skateboard, hat, shirt or body tattoo.
Select "Back to Landing" above the graphic area when you are finished with the logo.
Click on "Publish" to send the logo to your Skate 3 game. Enter in a title, description and choose to agree to the EA terms of service. Click "Next: Send Graphic to Game." Select which one of the four graphic slots you want to use. Keep in mind that any graphic currently in the slot will no longer be available in the game. Finally, click "Publish and Send to Game Shelf."
