How to Access the Meter Reading on a Canon Copier

Most every copier has a mechanism that tracks and records the copies made on the copier. Meter readings are used by copier service companies to bill the their customers correctly for copies made. Knowing where to get a meter reading on a Canon copier is also useful when considering purchasing a used Canon copier. Having an accurate meter reading will let you know how often the copier has been used.

  1. Press the "Counter Check" button on the main panel of the copier. This will be found on the left hand side of the main panel.

  2. Record copy totals. The totals will be presented in two or three categories. One will be for letter sized paper, another for ledger sized paper, and the last will record all colour images, if your Canon copier is a colour device.

  3. Press "Exit" to return to normal copier mode.
