Homemade Name Badges

Updated July 20, 2017

Name badges aren't just for business purposes. They can be used for parties, family reunions, craft workshops and other get-togethers. For these occasions, you may want a less formal name tag and something more creative than you would use for a business seminar. Homemade name badges fit the bill. Scrapbooking paper or fabric makes it easy to create unique name badges that are not only memorable, but can also be a keepsake.

Cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit inside the pocket of the badge ID holder.

Create a layout with other bits of scrapbook paper and a photo if you desire and glue them on.

Write a name on the badge with a marker.

Insert the paper into the badge ID holder.

Cut a piece of fabric and piece of felt into a rectangle or other shape.

Sew a safety pin or brooch backing onto the back of the felt.

Glue fabric to the felt.

Stitch around the edges with a blanket stitch.

Write a name onto the badge with a permanent marker.
