More than its partying, Miami is known for its beaches. "USA Today", the Travel Channel and the Surfrider Foundation have ranked Miami's beaches as some of the best. Miami Beach, one of the most recognisable, is located in the centre of Greater Miami but surrounded by smaller beaches. Most beaches offer some kind of recreational activity, such as windsurfing, fishing, water sport equipment rental, volleyball and more.
