There are many different options for getting rid of ants naturally. If you can find the ant nest, pour boiling water on it. You may have to do this several times in order to kill most of the ants and force the survivors to leave.

You can put bait traps down where you have seen ants. Use boric acid and sugar on these traps. Use a mixture of approximately 2/3 sugar and 1/3 boric acid. Put the mixture on little cardboard squares or use cotton balls to soak it up and place them where you see ants. Be careful using this method if you have children or pets as boric acid can be toxic if ingested.

Place a line of cinnamon, black pepper, cayenne pepper or peppermint oil around your house. The ants don't like these items and won't cross the line. Baby powder is also effective at keeping ants away because it will cause them to suffocate.

Pour cornmeal or quick grits around the ant nest or where you see them entering your home. When the ants eat the grits or cornmeal they expand and destroy the ants' digestive system.

You can also spray the ants with a mixture of half apple cider vinegar and half water. This will kill the ants and also will destroy scents that they are following. Vinegar is great for cleaning up the kitchen because it will eliminate any lingering food smells.

Shaklee Basic H2 will also kill ants instantly. Mix 2 1/2 tsp with 473ml of water and they die on contact. You can use a more diluted solution but it takes a few seconds to kill them. You can also use a Miracle Gro sprayer, fill it will 3 tablespoons of Basic H2 and the rest water and spray it around your foundation. Continue doing this periodically and it will eventually soak into the ground and kill the ants.

So as you can see, there are plenty of different options to kill ants naturally. Pick whatever method you find most convenient.
