Hello, I'm Michael Piacenza with Advantage Pest Control in St. Petersburg, Florida. So, the other day I was posed the questions, "How do I get rid of house ticks?" Well, I assumed what they're talking about are the brown ticks. So, the type of ticks that are going to get on their pets like dogs and cats. Alright? If you've got ticks in your house, you've got a problem. These are really, really tough piece to get rid of. Alright? So, the first thing you need to do is to, you need to make sure you get the place cleaned up. Clutter and clothing on the floor, all those types of things are going to be really good hiding places for the ticks. So, you want to get all that stuff picked up and put right into the washing machine. Not into the hamper, straight into the washing machine. Okay. We'll do a really thorough vacuuming; pick up as I said, get it all cleaned up and then, you start the process. Alright? So, you want to kill off the eggs and larva. A good way to do that is to do a night slight dusting of boric acid and botanical pesticide from say something like Eco Smart and get a light dusting throughout the house. Okay. So, this is going to kill off the eggs in the larva stage. Okay? Now, the adults. The adults are very very tough. You're going to need to use a few different products. I suggest using something like a, a pyrethrin-based because that is very safe and it's very fast acting and it's also has mixed in with a lot of the products, a growth regulator like Precor. So, you want to take that and spray all of the baseboards, all the legs and all the different tables and chairs of couches and audiments and things like that. You need to turn them over, spray the bottoms very very well. Also, you're going to make sure that the yard is taken cared of. You got the house tick-free, but, if they're going outside and they're getting out in the shrubbery, that's going to be a problem. But, that's another video. So, you have to do a search for that one. I hope this has been helpful. I'm Michael Piacenza with Advantage Pest Control, coming to you from sunny St. Petersburg, Florida.
