Hello. My name is Jacklyn Laflamme, and I'm a professional artist with JacklynLaflamme.com. In this clip, I'm going to show you how to work with acrylic paints. You will need canvas. You will need paint. You will need paintbrushes. You will need a paint palette. You will need a cup of water. Acrylic paints are very interesting. They dry very, very quickly, so that does not allow you a long open time to work with them. You're going to want to start off by dipping your brush in water, and then mixing it into the paint. And you can see that you can get different consistencies of paint. You can work with it a little thicker or a little thinner. So, I'm just going to spread the paint on, and you can see in this particular instance, it's going on very thin and very, very smooth, and that's a really nice technique that you can use. But, the beauty of acrylic paint is also when it tends to dry, you can also put it on really thick, and you can get all this beautiful beautiful texture when you put it on. So, you see, you can just like dab it on, and mix colors together, and you can see that it has all this nice nice texture. So, there's a lot of different ways that you can manipulate acrylic paint. This is Jacklyn Laflamme. Thank you for watching.
