Skype is a popular instant messaging program that lets their users send text, files, and voice calls. Skype users can even make calls to land lines and cell phones. While Skype comes with a lot of useful features, it doesn't allow for printing of messages and call history. Luckily, it only takes a little ingenuity to make hard copies of your digital conversations.
Open the Skype window of the person with whom you want to save your chat history. At the "Show Messages From" text menu on the top of the page, pick "Everything," and once the text loads, hold down the "Alt" and "Print Screen" buttons. Paste this into a word processor and print from there.
Open the Skype window again and select the Skype user whose history you want to print. Instead of using the Print Screen tool, right click inside of the window and select "Select All". Paste this text into a word processor or text editor for a chat history that's easier to edit.
Use Call Exporter to export, organise and print your call logs. With Skype running in the background, download Call Exporter and run the application. Skype will send a message asking whether you want Call Exporter to have access to your Skype installation. Say "Yes," and your call history will show up on Call Exporter's main screen.
