The classic battle of heroes versus villains is something just about anyone can recognise. For costume parties, going with a friend or your significant other paired as a famous villain and hero combo can be a fun way to dress up and change it up from the usual costume ideas.

With the newest editions of Batman movies, there has been a rise in Batman popularity again. Go to your next costume event dressed as the modern-day Batman or even the character straight from the comic books. Pick your villain for Batman such as the Joker, Penguin or the League of Shadows. You can have your Joker character dress like the modern-day Joker played by Heath Ledger or you can follow the old Joker costume by using more vibrant make-up and making the character seem almost comedic, rather than dark and evil.

'Star Wars'

Heroes and villains do not have to be just superheroes. "Star Wars" has a slew of heroes and villains within the movie itself. Have one individual dress up as Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi while the other dresses up as a Storm Trooper, Darth Maul, Darth Vader or a Battle Droid. This can be a fun costume idea for a large group of people since the movie has more than just one hero and villain.

Disney Classics

Disney movies have portrayed numerous heroes and villains in films that are still appropriate for younger children to watch. If you are dressing up for a party where there will be children, why not excite them by representing characters they would know. Dress up as Snow White and the evil witch, or Cruella de Vil and a Dalmatian puppy.

Iron Man

Iron Man has become popular again after the new movies that have been coming out of Hollywood. Have an individual in your group dress up as Iron Man while another dresses up as Lucifer, Ultimo or Doctor Strange.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman revolutionised the way girls saw superheroes by having a female superhero that they could relate to. Have someone dress up as Wonder Woman while the other dresses up as one of her many famous villains, such as Angle Man, Decay, Doctor Cyber or Doctor Psycho.
