Since the mission style of "Grand Theft Auto" titles is multilayered, players must often complete certain tasks in order to unlock additional missions. In "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" the trigger to unlock the final two missions requires players to obtain a large list of "assets" and complete the accompanying missions.
Other People Are Reading
The key to unlocking the final missions to "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" is purchasing businesses, also known as assets, around Vice City. These properties include Cherry Popper Ice Cream Company, Kaufman Cabs, The Malibu Club, The Film Studio, The Pole Position Club, The Printworks, The Shipyard, and Sunshine Automotives. Throughout the game, markers will appear on your map, indicating a property is for sale. Simply approach the markers to purchase the assets and trigger the missions.
Completing Asset Missions
Along with purchasing these business assets, you must complete the missions that accompany each property. Each asset typically has three to four missions that transition you into the role of business owner. Once you complete these missions, the business will generate money for your bank account for the duration of the game. If the asset marker on the map is a dollar sign, this indicates that you have completed every mission for that asset.
Completing Storyline Missions
Completing every regular storyline mission is also a prerequisite to unlocking the final set of missions. Check the game map to see if there are any leftover mission markers. The main missions include those assigned to you by ten people: Ken Rosenberg, Avery Carrington, Colonel Juan Cortez, Ricardo Diaz, Tommy Vercetti, Love Fist, Mitch Baker, Umberto Robina, Auntie Poulet and Phill Cassidy. If the map is clear, you have finished the main storyline missions.
Triggering the Final Missions
Once you purchase each asset, complete the missions to begin generating money, and complete each storyline mission, you should receive a phone call from your contact, Earnest, at the Printworks. This phone call triggers the final set of missions, "Cap the Collectors" and "Keep Your Friends Close." After you finish the main storyline missions in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," you can complete a number of side missions and rampages to reach 100 per cent completion.
