At the 9th grade level, students are expected to know some of the basic uses of science in day-to-day life. A good 9th grade science project on this topic would use science to achieve a practical goal or objective. Examples include building a robot, evaluating the effectiveness of different insulators, and testing the carrying capacity of model bridges.
