Updated July 20, 2017

Potty training is a responsibility that many parents dread. Having kid-friendly tools available makes the process go smoother. Stickers, charts, videos, songs and games can all be helpful during this, often difficult, job of potty training. Fortunately, there are many free potty training kits available. Here are four that offer great resources for potty training.

Pampers Easy Ups

Pampers offers a free potty training kit. This kit includes a free sample of Easy Ups Trainers, coupons, stickers and colouring pages, step-by-step tips, a progress chart and your choice of a Dora or Diego trophy. There is a limit of one per household. Visit the Pampers website to fill out the order form to receive your free kit by mail.

Huggies Pull-Ups

Huggies offers a free interactive potty training DVD. This DVD highlights a method of potty training that you can customise to fit the way your child learns best. It includes techniques, songs and games to help your child. Visit the Huggies website to order your copy of the DVD. You'll need to allow four to six weeks for delivery. The Pull-Ups website also offers free tips, coupons and even an iPhone app to help make potty training a successful experience for you and your child.

Charmin currently has a free potty training kit available for download. This kit includes a welcome letter, story booklet, poster and bear activity images, roll ruler (to measure the amount of toilet paper used by your little one), photo magnet and stickers. The stickers can be printed on special sticker paper or printed on regular paper and taped to the poster. Each item is available as a separate download so you can download only the items you would like to use. Visit the Charmin website to download your kit.

DLTK's Kids

DLTK's Kids is a website that offers free printables in many areas. One of the printables offered is a potty training chart. These charts, which can also be used as chore charts, are customisable and have kid-friendly graphics to make them appealing for little ones. There are many to choose from including ocean, outer space, holidays and many popular cartoon characters. They can also be customised with your child's name and the days of the week. Stickers can be placed on the chart when a child is successful at going potty. Visit DLTK's Kids to print out a customisable potty training chart.
