Many people look forward to their 21st birthday for months, if not years. That's because in the United States, 21 is the age when people can legally drink alcohol and go to bars. When you are throwing a birthday party for someone who is turning 21, choose goody bags for the guests so that they can enjoy a small gift as well.

Snacks

Fill a goody bag with snacks for the guests at a 21st birthday party. Choose items that go well with drinks, such as a variety of nuts, crisps or salty items. Alternatively, choose candies or the favourite snack item of the person who is turning 21. Another idea is to fill goody bags with 21 chocolates or 21 treats.

Wine Items

When the person who is turning 21 enjoys drinking wine, create goody bag party favours that complement that love. For example, choose a stemless wine glass for each bag. Plastic wine glasses are probably the best option because you don't have to worry about breaking them. Fill the wine glass with wine-related items, such as a corkscrew, a wine saver and wine glass charms.

Miniature Alcohol

If everyone attending the 21st birthday party is of the legal drinking age, fill a goody bag with different types of miniature bottles of alcohol. You can find mini-bottles at most liquor stores. Choose different types of liquor, such as vodka, rum, whiskey, gin and tequila. The minis typically hold about a shot of alcohol, so the recipients can make several different drinks with the goody bag's contents.

Koozies

Koozies, or individual can and bottle coolers, are good gifts to give to guests at a 21st birthday party. Choose Koozies that are a certain colour or that have the logo of a beer or liquor on them. You can also have your own Koozies made with a certain saying, such as "Happy 21st Birthday, Maggie." That way, the guests will always remember the party.
