Stardoll is a virtual World for paper dolls that you and others create. The website is made for girls from the ages of 7 to 17; it is a place to share ideas, design clothes and meet other girls from all over the world. As you complete tasks in the virtual world you earn Star dollars, which can be used to purchase pre-made garments or those you design yourself. Once you purchase your final design, you can use it on your own MeDoll or on one of the celebrity dolls available on the website.

Instructions

  1. 1

Sign up at Stardoll and follow the profile set-up instructions to choose your doll, hair style, skin colouring and initial clothing.

  2. 2

Go to the "My Page" tab at the top of the Stardoll website and click "My Account." Select "Play & Earn." Complete the tasks asked of you to earn a few dollars. This will allow you to pay for the new fashion designs you make.

  3. 3

Click the "Design" tab from the top toolbar when you have earned a few Star dollars.

  4. 4

Choose from the colour swatches to select the colour of fabric you want. Drag and drop the patterns you like from the forms available at the top of the screen. Click the colour swatch, if you want to change the colour of these forms.

  5. 5

Click the pattern shapes next to the fabric swatch you are working on to change the pattern style of the cloth. Rotate or size the pattern by dragging the sewing needle slider from one side to the other.

  6. 6

Select the "Choose" button in the bottom right corner when you are happy with the fabric and pattern.

  7. 7

Look through the garment type book on the left side. Click through the pages to view different styles. Drag and drop the garment type you choose from the style book to the centre of the fabric swatch you made.

  8. 8

Click the "Sew" button on the right hand side to sew the garment. Wait for the garment to be finished and placed on the sewing model.

  9. 9

Add the finished garment to your shopping basket and pay with your Star dollars.
